Catching Up From Last Week

The weekend passed quickly and so did the week of the 4th of July. Last week, we enjoyed a local fireworks display for the holiday. Pre-4th of July we also played cards with friends and had a good time laughing and catching up on life.  We also found time to mix-in a little pool time at a small pool-party with other friends. Last week was rather busy but relaxing.

However, I found the time to more than double the number of words in The White Arrow and hope to push to the end of that this week. The official cover for the book was revealed last Friday and I’m pleased that the book is progressing nicely. I’ve also started on a blurb and shared that last week as well. I’ll be working with my editor very soon over the next month or so to iron out all the manuscript issues and heading toward publication. However, I do hope to put The White Arrow into pre-orders very soon. I did acquire a trailer for An Arrow Against the Wind which is posted below for those who haven’t seen it yet.

A few other projects will be in the works while The White Arrow is away with the editor. There may also be some further developments with The Bow of Hart Saga soon but no details to share just yet. I’m also waiting on word back on a couple of anthology submissions. I’m also working on a few more anthology submissions in the coming months. Overall, I’m staying busy.

Otherwise, the dogs are happy to stay out of the heat but our male came up a little lame. He’s got some arthritis and in his excitement to get in the car for a ride for a walk the other day, he tweaked something and ran around whimpering. He recovered and happily went for the walk. The cat is growing fast and now plays with the dogs, expecting to eat when they do. He’ll soon be making trips outside with the dogs, I’m sure.

The rest of the family is gearing up school starts. My wife has several more weeks before she reports back to teach. Meanwhile, my daughter is taking one summer class but will head back to full-time college classes during August. The summer break has gone by fast.

Thanks for reading today,

PHS
