Go Wide Again? Take These Polls About Your Reading Habits

Last Decemeber, I made a drastic decision. I went narrow with my books, placing them exclusively on Amazon to try Kindle Unlimited. That decision has been fruitful and seems to be improving awareness of the book and The Bow of Hart Saga.

While I placed the individual books in Kindle Unlimited, the series bundle remained available on Barnes & Noble, Smashwords and Kobo (still working on iBooks) so I haven’t entirely abandoned being wide in my product placement.

However, the trial run for the individual novels will end in early March and print placement will become an issues, especially with Barnes & Noble. I’m still up in the air about remaining in KU with the books. As a result, a poll came to mind that I now share with readers, please answer the following questions about how you discover books. Thanks for the input and please leave your thoughts in the comments.

Thanks for taking the polls. They close in a week so invite everyone you know that reads Fantasy to drop and and leave their answers. Come back next week and have a look at the results – I’ll make sure to re-post this with a few comments and, as always, I’ll reply to your responses in the comments section.

  1. Great poll. I did take it, but on print books I’m probably 50/50 with my local bookstore and Amazon. It will be interesting to see the final results.
