That’s an interesting story that most of us can relate to. I had my own adventure in getting my book published. It turned out well. The cover design was drawn by an artist friend of my brother’s and the graphics and formatting done by another friend and fellow author. So its a tough thing for Indie Authors but its getting better. I wish I knew how to format then I could help others as well.
It is cautionary to say the least. I’ve done a DIY cover but with a full novel or series in Fantasy covers require a designer or artist. I’ve even started making my own cards from artwork for social media.
