You may have seen the news or be affected by it, but winter storm Benji brought snowy weather to about 2,000 miles of the US last night and today stretching from the Texas coast up the east coast. Where I live in Alabama got a sizable accumulation of snow and slushy roads. Right now, I see about 5 inches of snow on my deck table.
As you can imagine, for Alabama this storm means an early holiday know as “Snow Day” where we just stay home and enjoy the snowy weather. We don’t have equipment to clear the roads so we tend to stay in on these days as necessary. Overnight, we may see colder weather that creates some icy road conditions in the morning that should clear by mid-day as the temperature rises back into the 40’s.
The sight today reminds me of winter in Narnia and just like in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe we’ll soon have melting snow in time for Christmas! Here are a few pics for your enjoyment:
