Author Inspiration and This Week’s Writing Links

My plans often make the oddest turns and then I end up where I intended, just not the way I intended. Good to know your daughter is well.

Happy Friday! What a week, huh? When I was considering this week’s quote, two came to mind.

  1. If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.
  2. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

I chose this one, instead:

Life is what happens to us when we're making other plans.

And here’s why.

The first quote, while humorous, makes God sound a bit sadistic. I don’t think He laughs when our plans go awry, especially if His plans for us are why. My best-laid plans this week didn’t come to fruition, and I know it wasn’t funny.

The second was more for when we think we’re helping but situations only get worse. While I would say some of my days this week went to hell, this wasn’t why.

So, I finally chose the Allen Saunders quote. I think it fits best.
