Our cat was a little lost kitten with a torn ear. He’s grown into a sharp tomcat. Thanks for sharing the book Mae.
Hi, SEers! Mae here on my day to share a favorite book. This is always a tough one for me as there are so many great choices. Although my preferred reading genre is mystery/suspense/thriller, I often find gems elsewhere.
Such is the case with A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen. What makes this story so exceptional is that it’s true. James went from being a recovering drug addict and penniless busker to a bestselling international author—all because of his kindness toward a stray cat. His story has been made into a movie and he and Bob now do speaking engagements around the world. There is a Bob animated TV show, Bob books for kids, a Bob Twitter feed, website, and Instagram account. If you like Cinderella stories, you need to experience this tale of one man and his remarkable cat.
Here’s the blurb:

LOVE this story, have 3 Bob the Cat books and am thrilled to know there has been so much fuss made over the power of love to raise us out of the dark and into the light!

I have all three as well, Annette. I so love that cat and James for rescuing him. Although, truth be told, they rescued each other!

I completely agree. I had a cat, Baby, who did the same for me and I for her. I will always loved her for that.

That is so sweet to hear! Stories like that warm my heart. I have had rescue cats all my life. My latest, Raven, and I are utterly bonded!
