Hello again fantasy readers.

Manny here with you again this month at the request of P.H. Solomon whom I am delighted to fill in for.

Today, I wanted to talk about magical items. They come in all sorts of categories and are governed by rules set by the Mage Guild and the laws of the Gallantean Empire.

Enchanted items can be used for small tasks, weapons, and transportation. Mages use a variety of enchanted items for different purposes, in addition to casters or wands.

Personally, I use a pair of Augur’s spectacles that have different lenses to allow me to see through illusions and understand what’s happening around me magically.

Another item that appears quite often is the fleer gun, which harnesses magical energy to emit an irregular beam of lightning.

However, many of the older and more powerful items aren’t easily accessible to the general public since they can be easily misused like the scroll we recovered for Vyara. In the next full-length book, we’ll see a case with one such dangerous item that I consider quite disturbing.
